- Review Consistently — Doing something over and over and over again, at random times in random situations, is the best way to commit something to long-term memory. Post-post-it notes wherever you can around your home regarding what it is that you wish to learn.
- Invest Into It — Don’t just read books on the topic. Watch videos, listen to music with related lyrics, watch interviews, listen to podcasts, look at art, do it yourself, etc. Do whatever you can to invest in what you wish to learn with as many senses as possible.
- Play With It — Become interested in it in any way you can and try to gamify what you learn. Have some fun with it. Smile and laugh as much as you can by wiggling in your chair, singing along to your favorite tunes while learning, and/or finding some ways to gamify the process.
- Commit To The Long-Term — Most people learn in ways that peak early, then fall off drastically. Those initial highs are the easy things to learn, and the huge dip comes from people giving up when they are not rewarded for their learning as much as they were before. But beyond that dip is a slow, steady, near-infinite incline. Stick with it. Do something every day. Eventually, you will grow a deeper understanding of it than almost anyone.
