No rest, no reward. The best way to relax? Let it all drop, do nothing, and let yourself be.

1. What To Do:

Set a timer for 5 minutes. Take a couple of deep breaths.

Do nothing. Don’t think, let thoughts arise. Do feel, let feelings arise. Don’t breathe, let breath arise.

Continue until the timer goes off.

2. Why to do it:

When you do nothing, you let all else be done. You vacate the role of the self as the center of experience, and rest back as what you see, smell, touch, think, and feel.

This takes no effort, no control, and no preparation.

It’s available every single second of every day.

With time, you can do nothing while doing something. You simply let it be done.

The practice of this non-practice is what we do here.

3. Closing

This series provides unique, interesting exercises for a more mindful life. One you can more fully enjoy and find purpose in. If you liked this exercise, you’ll love my newsletter, where I share insights into the power of connection every day: subscribe.hereispurpose.com

Thank you for your efforts and hopefully until tomorrow’s 44th meditation.
