Japan is meticulous about punctuality. The West Japan Railway Company apologized after a train in central Japan left the platform 25 seconds too early. One person missed the train…

The train conductor thought the train was supposed to leave Notogawa Station at 7:12 am instead of 7:11 am. The train conductor immediately spotted his mistake but saw nobody waiting at the station so he left 25 seconds too early.

“We inconvenienced our customers very much, and we will strive to prevent this from occurring again” JR West said in a statement in the Asahi Shimbun.
