Imagine having $1000 in your bank account, but not a single dollar in your pocket. You want to buy something you love, explore new places, and enjoy delicious food. But you don’t. Why?

Because you feel like you don’t have any money in your hand. It’s true, that you don’t have cash in hand, but you do have money in your account. So why not use it? The problem is, that you’re not aware of the resources you already have. Instead, you worry about your empty pockets. Crazy, right? Many people live like this. They know but don’t use it. They forget the skills, opportunities, and advice they already have.

Think about the times you’ve heard something helpful from:

  • A course you bought
  • An article you read
  • An online webinar
  • A mentor’s advice
  • A YouTube video

Imagine you’re struggling to focus. A mentor tells you to prioritize tasks and avoid time-wasters. You feel like you’ve found the solution. But then, you don’t act on it. Instead, you look for new answers.

The real issue is knowing what to do, but not doing it.

Solution:

To fix this, follow these steps:

  1. Take a pen and paper or open a note app.
  2. Write at the top: “What advice have I already received to solve this [problem]?”
  3. List all the advice, suggestions, and solutions you’ve heard.
  4. Ask yourself: Which piece of advice will make the biggest impact if I act on it?
  5. Take action. Commit to one piece of advice for the next 30 days.
  6. Stick to your commitment.

“I challenge you to attempt this exercise.”
Conclusion:

Don’t just read this and forget it. Take action on the knowledge you already have.

Doing so lets you change your life and make the most of your resources.

“Knowledge isn’t power until it is applied.” — Dale Carnegie
