We have so many ways to consume media these days, reading seems a bit outdated, slow and tiresome, comparatively speaking. Reading has come a long way. With the invention of writing humans were able to “store” knowledge and historical records for generations to come. This played a huge part in the development of culture, society and actual mental capabilities.

Most of us still read daily as part of being a student, in our jobs or just as part of our day-to-day life, even though the medium has changed from paper to digital screens mostly, reading is still omnipresent.
