Matt Lillywhite is a writer on Medium with over 36K followers. He mainly writes about comedy, humor, and satire. His profile photo is a photo of a Quokka next to him, in case you are wondering which animal is on your screen.

Some background information

Matt was born in Bournemouth, UK. He started a Youtube channel at the age of 12 and auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2014. He started writing on Medium after Gary Vaynerchuk, (Gary Vee) told him this was a good idea. Gary Vee follows him on Twitter.

When he started, he relied on Medium to create an income to pay for rent and food. Over time, his follower count started increasing to where he is now.

In his articles, he tries to make you laugh by telling unrealistic ways people claim to have made money on the internet. Some of his articles include:

His titles often include enormous numbers and immediately spark your interest. This is why his articles gain so many views.

Because he is joking about the side hustles, he can make way more “how to make money” content. Others actually need to make money and prove it with screenshots in order to make an article about that particular side hustle. He can just write about whatever side hustle he wants without showing proof because he is just joking.

People who are not familiar with his content will often read until the end and realize its a joke because of the disclaimer:

Final Thoughts

Overall Matt Lillywhite is a great writer. The articles are well-written and funny. It’s amusing to see how he mocks side hustle articles because of the big claims they make.
