The time we have on this planet is finite.

We can do anything we well please here.

Whether it is for ourselves or for God, we have a limited number of years to do all the things we aspire to do.

It’s easier said than done.

But we can also enjoy the simpler things on this planet, the things that let our souls flourish and collide with one another.

We could go for a hike. We could jump in a lake under the fog of the mountains. We could light a campfire and laugh and dance around it.

We could go and jump in a puddle in the rain. Who does that? Children do it, so why can’t we as adults?

And so why do all of these things? Just because?

Well, sure, but what do we really mean by just because? What is the value of this memory? This won’t matter five years from now, so for what purpose do we do these things?

For glory? For praise from others? For freedom? For money? For possessions?
