According to Goodreads, I’ve read 63 books towards my goal of a 100 books. This is good considering I’m April I was about 10–15 books behind. I don’t know if I should be proud of this though because I’m July I read a bunch of juvenile and young adult graphic novels to help with my summer reading. Libraries and some teachers count graphic novels as books but sometimes I feel like I’m cheating when I do that.

I finished listening to Killers of the Flower Moon on audiobook. I really enjoyed listening to it — the narrators were generally very good. The book was divided into 3 parts and there were three different narrators for each part which I think was smart — you knew you were on a different section. I liked the first and third parts the best because it was more focused on the Osage Indians. I didn’t care about the FBI part. If you haven’t read the book yet, you definitely should. It’ll make you realize how badly the Native Americans were (and are) treated.

Once again I’m unsure of what to read next. I started reading Final Girls by Riley Sagar which has a similar premise to another book that I read this year called The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix. Hendrix’s book seemed to be more campy/lighthearted while Sanger’s book seems to have a darker tone to it so far. I might like it but we’ll see.

After this book I think I’m going to focus on the books I own at home. I have so many and I want to get rid of them so I can use the space differently. Or have room for the books I want to keep. It’s so hard being a reader in a small space!
