Request Audio Visual resources
A series of guides on using Reading Lists Online
This guide will explain how to add Audio Visual resources held in the Library catalogue to your Reading List and how to request new Audio Visual resources for teaching.
⚠️ You can add DVD, Video Cassettes or Streamed Video resources the Library already holds to your list, but all requests for new material will be supplied via Streamed Video where possible.

1. Add a DVD, Video Cassette or Streamed Video already held by the Library to your list
To add a DVD, Video Cassette or Streamed Video from the Library catalogue to your list:
- Click on the blue ➕ icon at the top right of your list. This will open the panel to the right of your list. Click on “Library Search”.
- Use the search field to search the Library catalogue for the item.
- Drag and drop the item directly into your list from the search results.
⚠️Please do not give the DVD, Video Cassette or Streamed Video an item importance tag.
If you wish to request new Audio Visual resources for teaching, please go to Step 2 below.
2. Request a new Streamed Video for teaching
- Please use the Streamed Video request form here.
- If the Library already holds the item as a DVD or Video Cassette and you wish to request Streamed Video, please also use the form linked to above.
- If we are able to supply, the item will be added to your list for you. We will notify you if unable to supply.
⚠️Please do not use the Cite It tool to add Audio Visual Resources that the Library does not currently hold to your list, but use the form linked to above.
