Digitising a journal article

When checking digitised book chapter requests, the team will always check if there is a suitable ebook license of the relevant book available first. If there is, we will go ahead and purchase the ebook and add it to the reading list instead. The digitisation request will then be removed. You will be able to access the ebook via an ‘View Online’ link next to the citation.

If the item isn’t held by the Library and you have added it via ‘Cite it!’ you are still able to submit a digitisation request as above. The team will secure a copyright cleared version from the British Library and purchase the item.

Your digitisation request has now been submitted to the Library. Please allow a minimum of seven working days for your digitisation request to be fulfilled. The Reading Lists Team will contact you if there are any issues with your request. Once the digitisation is ready, a ‘View Online’ link will appear next to the relevant citation.

⚠️All requests are checked for copyright compliance. Please refer to the CLA Higher Education Scanning Guidance for more information.
