Welcome to the Reading Lists Publication!

Since joining Medium, I have been digging around, trying to find the sort of writing that I love. Writing that compels, inspires, and moves me. Most of all: writing that makes me think.

Unfortunately, too often this type of writing can be difficult to find on here — some of the best writing gets swept away, never making it to the news feed.

So, in an effort to bypass the mysterious algorithms that dictate news feed content, I’m putting together lists of pieces that are well worth reading (in my opinion), but for whatever reason, have received few “recommends”.

Finding these hidden gems can be time-consuming, and I would like the reading lists to represent broader taste than just my own (I do have a tendency to pick important but depressing stuff), so if you would like to suggest pieces or submit your own reading list you can:
