When you think of summer sounds, your mind may turn to the baseball field. From the crack of the bat on the ball to the umpire making a home plate call, there are plenty of classic summer sounds at the ballpark.

If you’ve been to a softball game, you know that there’s another sound that often drowns everything else out. Back and forth battles of chanting, drumming, and singing, all of it loud, are hallmarks of the game.
