There is something about Paris which just makes you want to curl-up with a book and read about it (or go there!).

Maybe it’s the city’s romantic atmosphere, or maybe, it’s the fact that Paris has been home to some of the world’s most influential writers.

Whatever the reason, here is a list of novels and nonfiction books set in Paris.

The Scapegoat by Daphne du Maurier

A story about two men, English and French, who meet by chance one day. They are struck by how much they look like each other.

A suspenseful doppelgänger story.

On The Spectrum by Jennifer Gold

A teenager escapes to Paris one Summer, after a social media-related disaster. She stays with her father and his new family.
While there, she gets to know her autistic step-brother and confronts her food-choice issues.

A beautiful coming-of-age story.

Every Frenchman Has One by Olivia de Havilland
