- New York waived Brandon Jennings, and are expected to pursue Chasson Randle in his place (recently waived by Philadelphia).
- Omri Casspi, recently waived by New Orleans, cleared waivers. Had a team claimed him on waivers, they would have had his Bird rights.
- NEED A PLAYMAKER? Deron Williams is headed to Cleveland after being waived by Dallas, where he will wear #31.
- Philadelphia waived Andrew Bogut, who reportedly has meetings set up with multiple contenders.
- The notable names recently waived above join Matt Barnes and Marcus Thornton on the buyout market.
- New York’s Joakim Noah had arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss the rest of the season.
- Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid will continue to be out indefinitely due to knee swelling, per the team.
- Toronto’s Kyle Lowry had wrist surgery to remove some loose bodies and will miss 4–5 weeks.
