- The league admitted in a memo that Atlanta’s Dwight Howard should not have been ejected from Monday’s contest in Boston after swinging on the rim after a dunk.
- Milwaukee’s Michael Beasley, who hyperextended his knee Monday in Cleveland, is expected to miss about 3 weeks.
- Oklahoma City has signed Norris Cole for the remainder of the season.
- Brandon Jennings* is expected to sign with Washington.
- Jose Calderon* reportedly has committed to Golden State.
- Andrew Bogut* is expected to sign with Cleveland. The Cavs will need to waive a player before bringing on Bogut.
- *All three clear waivers Wednesday evening and can then officially sign with a team.
- KD in DC: Golden State’s Kevin Durant exited Tuesday’s contest against the Wizards after suffering what the team calls a hyperextended knee — more will be known after Durant gets an MRI.
- SCRATCH THAT: Golden State will sign Matt Barnes in wake of Durant’s injury. Reports indicate the team will still honor their agreement with Calderon to sign him, but will then immediately waive him.
- Denver’s Kenneth Faried missed his second straight game and could miss another week with back spasms.
- Sacramento’s Garrett Temple may return as early as next week (partially torn hamstring).
- Portland’s Evan Turner had his cast removed from his fractured right hand and could be back within a week or so.
- The Lakers will sign David Nwaba out of the D-League to a 10 day contract.
- Denver re-assigned Malik Beasley to the D-League.
- Extension talks reportedly broke down between Utah and George Hill + Derrick Favors ahead of the March 1 deadline.
