Ernie Carswell has done it again.

If there’s a name of any Teles agent that appears most often in these pages, it has to be that of Ernie Carswell. Most recently, we’ve honored him for being included in the prestigious Wall Street Journal’s the 1000, and we’ve covered his many deal with his many celebrity clients many times.

According to some coverage in the Los Angeles Times Hot Property section, Carswell recently sold designer Barbara Barry’s Beverly Hills estate.

We covered Carswell’s dealings with this home before. Back then, we said that the home lists for $8 million, and Barry’s touches cover every inch of the 5,000-square-foot property, which is tucked high in the hills and surrounded by park-like private gardens with roses and citrus trees. The full price includes a house full of furniture and touches specifically chosen by Barry.

The traditional home, influenced by the English architectural flourishes of a country estate, seems fit for someone passionate about her work, but if a buyer wants the house without her designs, there would be a $1.1 million discount to the listing price.

“The best value is to buy the house with her flourishes, because you could not hire her for that price…the content is worth more than a million dollars,” Carswell said.

The LA Times reports that property records they obtained show that taxes for the property will be mailed to the Las Vegas home of Robert Goldstein. Goldstein, 61, has been the president and chief operating officer of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. since late 2014 and previously held similar titles at the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino.

The purchase price for the home was $7 million, and $850,000 was paid for the furnishings. Barry bought the house nine years ago for $5.44 million.
