No Unexpected Scares as Teles Agent Andrea Shink Reps Horror Director Home Sale
She repped, he ‘Saw,’ they both conquered.
Teles Agent Andrea Shink recently got some attention for repping a high profile deal. Selling in an off market deal, Shink repped the director of the ‘Saw’ movie franchise James Wan in a Hollywood Hills sale worth $13.13 million — an appropriate number for a director of horror films. We aren’t the only ones taking notice, either: Shink’s sale was noted in the Wall Street Journal as well as The Real Deal and the LA Times.
It’s little wonder that such a dramatic home might be worth spilling ink over. With views of downtown Los Angeles and the ocean, the main house has five bedrooms and measures about 6,000 square feet. The roughly 28,000-square-foot lot also contains a guest house, a gym and a swimming pool.
James Wan, the creator of the horror film “Saw,” has sold his Hollywood Hills home for $13 million, just two years after buying it for $10 million. The sale represents an upward trend in sales for the Hollywood Hills. Earlier this month “Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki also made substantial profits when he sold his Hollywood Hills pad for 25 percent above its listing price of $2 million. Located in the ‘Bird Streets’ area of the west Hollywood Hills, it’s little wonder the sale took flight in such dramatic fashion.
And Mr. Wan couldn’t have chosen a better Teles agent to represent him in the sale. No stranger to large deals, according to her own estimates, Shink has closed over $100 million in sales over the course of her career. She jokes that she got started in real estate as a preteen, when, at just 11 years old, she put together her first real estate deal when the people she was babysitting for were divorcing. Wasting no time, she told her mom: “Buy that house!”
Still, despite the good news, it looks likely that Wan will end up under water after all. Not on the home deal, though. The 39 year old director is currently directing upcoming DC superhero flick “Aquaman,” due out in 2017.
No word yet on whether superhero Teles agent Andrea Shink will make an appearance.
