Teles Foundation Helps to End Homelessness in Orange County

Teles is always expanding it’s efforts to give back to the communities in which it lives and works.

For years now, Teles has a long tradition of doing exactly that, both at the company wide and individual level.

Earlier this November, Teles continued that tradition by contributing to HomeAid Orange County. Sponsoring a fund raiser, or company aimed to help HomeAid OC fulfill their mission, getting people and families off the streets and into safe homes. Obviously, this is an issue near and dear to our own hearts.

HomeAid Orange County’s vision to end homelessness starts at the core — where does someone go when they suddenly find themselves without a home? HomeAid gives children and their parents, along with individuals, the opportunity to move from benches to beds to self-sufficiency. HomeAid achieves its mission through advocacy, development of shelters, and service.

Teles donated to the cause financially, and Evan Ageloff, Teles’ Chief Operating Officer was in attendance as well.

HomeAid OC is just one of the many charities that the Teles Foundation supports. Originally formed in 2012, the foundation was created in loving memory of Angela Mozart, the company’s long-time friend and dedicated information technology network administrator, who was killed in a car collision while riding her bicycle. Angela provided guidance to the Teles technology department and went the extra mile for its agents; and in the same spirit, the Teles Foundation hopes to provide support to organizations and initiatives in Southern California.

“Angela was — and continues to be — very special to Teles, and we love that we’re able to honor her memory in this way,” says Srivatsaa. “The Teles Foundation is built on the philosophy that all great things have small beginnings, and we hope that by raising and distributing funds in the local communities where our business, agents, and clients interact every single day, we will promote global change for a more positive future.”

Over the next year, the Teles Foundation is continuing to grow, raise further awareness, establish more relationships and promote even further participation. The foundation is proud to have already contributed to the following charities: LA Family Housing, StandUp For Kids, Home Free, PUP Laguna Beach, Run in the Name of Love, and Red Star Riders; and is continually planning events and seeking new opportunities to give back, in the form of beach cleanups and other charitable works.

As Teles expands, it only feels right to support the people and communities that support us and make that growth possible.
