Why I Love Teles! — Danny Emmer
It’s time for another installment in our continuing series “Why I Love Teles!” featuring profiles of our Teles agents. In these posts, we take a look at the agents who make Teles what it is, and they tell us why they love calling Teles home.
Today, we’re sitting down with our Assistant Managing Director in Brentwood, Danny Emmer.
Emmer is a fourth-generation native of Los Angeles, born and raised on the city’s west side. A realtor and licensed attorney, he’s intimately familiar with the many distinct communities that make up LA’s unique and vibrant fabric…as well as the many local eateries worth visiting.
Emmer likes to give his clients a special heads up: meeting with him can often result in a snack.
We asked Emmer why he loved Teles, and he had plenty to say, from how Teles makes things easy for agents and clients alike, and how — like his favorite places to eat — Teles is always there for him.
Why do you love Teles?
Let me count the ways! The culture at Teles places an emphasis on community and a team work in a way that makes going to the office fun. Further, at Teles there is unparalleled access to company leadership. Whether it is a phone call for help on a particular deal point or actually being in the room with your sellers on a listing presentation to help seal the deal, the executive team at Teles is truly THERE in every way to help Teles agents succeed.
What is your favorite aspect of Teles?
The Teles Platform not only lays out a clear path for success; it also makes life easier for agents, peeling away so much of the busy work that often keeps agents from focusing on activities that actually help agents list and sell more property.
Why did you join?
For years I had seen from afar and appreciated Teles’ growing presence in the industry through its marketing, sterling reputation and always stellar agents. However, it wasn’t until I attended last years Teles Tech Launch — Diablo that my eyes were open to just how innovative and forward thinking Teles is as a company. I knew that at Teles there would always be a team of incredibly smart and thoughtful people constantly thinking about how to grow their agents business, in ways that make selling real estate easier. It was clear then that by joining Teles I would have every possible advantage an agent could be afforded while selling real estate in the 21st century, and further could feel comfortable that the executive team at Teles would always be striving to maintain this advantage, by always staying at the forefront of innovation in the industry.
What made you want to become an assistant managing director?
As an attorney with over a decade of experience selling real estate in markets good and bad, I knew that I could sometimes be in a position to help our agents when inevitably a deal goes sideways, and an outside opinion could be useful. Further, and selfishly, I knew that becoming a manager would allow me to better get to know our agents and form deeper relationships with some of the best agents in the business who I am certain will also be able to teach me a thing or two. Finally, I am someone who is always hungry to learn, and working more closely with the Teles executive team provides an incredible opportunity to work hand in hand with, and learn from the sharpest minds in real estate.
