Equanimity with our lack of equanimity

No matter how fed up or seasick the sailor might get, no matter how much they want to get off the boat, they can’t. They are still reliant on the boat for their presence in the stormy seas.

No matter how skilled our minds may become, we cannot escape the fact that we are in the vessel of a human body and are reliant upon it in a symbiosis for our existence here in this life.

We can become more skilled, but we can never leave the boat. Accept that.
