Pic+Translate is an app created to help people who want to increase their English vocabulary by identifying the content of images. These images can either be pictures taken with the iPhone camera or pictures already stored on the device. The app will describe the photos in words and then they will be translated into any language chosen by the user.
The app is simple to use. The first step is to select an image from the iPhone library or select the camera to take a picture.
The image will be loaded in the app and the words describing it will be shown below.
After clicking on the Translate button, a list of all the words will appear on the screen and the user simply has to click on any word to get the translation.
Selecting a language is really easy. Just click on the Language button and immediately on screen the user will see an entire list of the languages available for this app.
I hope everyone enjoys and learns while using Pic+Translate. As a non-native english speaker I personally find it very useful, it helps me with unknown vocabulary in any situation. Developing it has been an incredible learning experience, it’s helped me to expand and grow with the skills I’ve acquired.
