In December 2018, I was admitted into the prestigious University of Benin. I was excited about my new adventure.

Finally!!! Away from home!!!

I dived into a world of independence where I’ve got to trust my instinct and ability and see how prepared I am to face the world on my own.

Interestingly, I stumbled upon my best friend — Yetty—a kind, lovely, lively, and cheerful soul.

Before our meeting, I was told single stories about how wily Yorubas are but she was different — different in such a way that I had a rethink.

Through her, I got to see the Yoruba tribe in a new light.

  • She knows and understands my unspoken words.
  • She makes delectable dishes that have great presentations.
  • She’s kind in a reassuring way.
  • She has my back like I can never imagine.
  • The way she knows all of my jokes but still laughs anyway.

With her around, I can be a kid, a teacher, a student, a sister, a friend, and many more.

For this and many more you’ve done for me — Yetty, I’m super grateful.

Happiest birthday to a friend and more🎉🤗

P. S. It’s Yetty’s birthday today 🎉 and It’ll mean the world to me if you could say a prayer or make a wish for my friend.

Ciao🤗
