This morning, as my husband, Henry, and I sat at our breakfast table having morning coffee and oatmeal, the Today Show was blaring in the background. We are amusing ourselves with the latest New York Times Wordle and Connections games as we heard Suvannah Guthrie introduce Selma Blair and Isaac Mizrahi to talk about their latest project.

Curious, my husband and I stopped what we were doing and looked up from our iPhone and laptop screens to give them our full attention.

First, I thought Selma Blair was there to talk about her battle with MS and give the latest update on her health. But as the upbeat interview unfolded, I found myself getting emotional and touched. Selma and Isaac were talking about their last fashion line, which is found on QVC. They have teamed up to create adaptive fashion for the disability community.

Selma’s service dog, Scout, is lying by her feet. Selma, looking radiant and happy, talks about being a role model for the disability community. Just this week, she spoke at the White House to give a speech on the legacy of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act.
