Unlocking Real Estate Investment Opportunities with DeFi Technology

Currently, our efforts are focused on integrating the liquidity from Balancer Labs into RealEstate.Exchange. This is done through their ‘Managed Pools’ (not yet released), which we are building on top of, as a grantee from the Balancer Grants.

What DeFi is bringing to the table:

DeFi, or decentralized finance, is unlocking new ways to invest in real estate, as it allows for transparent, secure, and decentralized transactions, which makes real estate investments more accessible and efficient.

Here are some ways DeFi is enabling real estate investment:

1. Tokenization of Real Estate Assets: breaking them down into smaller, more affordable units. This makes real estate investment more accessible to a broader range of investors and enables fractional ownership of assets, which can help reduce transaction costs, increase liquidity, and streamline the investment process. We are using www.DigiShares.io technology.
2. Smart Contracts: DeFi platforms use smart contracts, which are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement directly written into code. Smart contracts could automate real estate transactions, including the buying and selling of properties, leasing, and property management. This could reduce the need for intermediaries and speed up the transaction process. Our smart contracts are public and are currently being tested. You can take a look at them yourself here
3. Decentralized Marketplaces: DeFi platforms can create decentralized marketplaces where investors can directly buy and sell real estate assets. This eliminates the need for traditional brokers, who often charge high fees. Decentralized marketplaces can also improve transparency by providing investors with access to real-time data on asset performance and market trends.
