A great blog to subscribe to with articles on current trends in real estate, new developments, and a good FAQ on Japan property details like how to get financing, joint ownership options, and advice on negotiating.
Blog — CatForHead
A very detailed blog on various aspects of Japan real estate from 2 seasoned writers whose work is often in Japan Times and other major publications (they had a regular column Home Truths which I think ended but has a lot of good material in the archives).
Online Site — Nippon Tradings International
A seasoned team of agents and advisors for property investment and purchase, rental, and ad hoc questions on real estate. Ziv & team host some very helpful (and free) Q&A sessions for prospective Japan property investors and host a FB Group called Japan Real Estate. Take a look at their recent 3-step guide on purchasing and their podcast.
Online Pub — RE-think Tokyo
Admittedly have not read it until recently, so I will update this after finding more interesting articles. Their blogs are all dated, but there are a few new articles monthly so worth subscribing or keeping an eye on it and there are some good gems in the archives like this one on flipping.
Online Site — Real Estate Japan
Broker, news, and blog site. Another site I haven’t looked at regularly, but there are some good articles in their archives, so another one to keep an eye on. For people thinking to renovate did you know you can get a 1m JPY subsidy?
