Greetings, our dear English-speaking community members! Yesterday we have run an AMA session, big thanks to our friends from Moni Talks for providing the stage — but it was in Russian, so most of our community had no opportunity to visit it or to understand what was going on. Thus we have decided to translate for you, so each of our users would stay updated: there were many interesting topics discussed! Ready? Let us begin!

Questions

Before we start, you might want to know that Realis was represented by our CEO, Sergey Zasorin. Here are the answers he was giving to the Moni Talks team.

1. Sergey, could you please tell us what are you doing at Realis?

“Previously, even while being a CEO, I performed many routine processes. For example, for the first 2–3 years, I was answering e-mails daily, searched for the appropriate candidates, and conducted job interviews. Also, my duties were to communicate with mentors, plan the process, marketing and promotion of games. We can finish this up with game design struggles and participating in improving UI/UX, as well as with solving different problems.

At the moment, we have already delegated almost all processes to professionals. Now I mostly conduct interviews, do help in solving problems and blockers, think about strategic solutions with other team members, and search for growth points and new project’s vision”.

2. If you were asked to use a few sentences for describing Realis, what would you answer?

“Realis is a platform for creating games with an open and transparent economy. The mission of the project is to destroy the border between games and the real world (“Realis” is a Latin word, which means “reality”)”.

3. If to sum up, what are the benefits of Realis for the user? What are your advantages over the rest of blockchain games and launchpads?

“The idea is very simple. Between two similar games, the player will choose one where the game currency, items, and rewards have real value. This is the main benefit.

Blockchain games are usually created for a fairly narrow audience with a high entry threshold. These games are not interesting to users who play traditional games. Therefore, our main competitors are ordinary projects coming from Google Play.

We have enough users who play our games without a clear understanding of what they can receive in return. Thus users should not think about complicated things while playing. This is our position in the development of games”.

4. Why did you choose mobile games?

“We had a negative experience in 2018 when we released “Royal Crypto” on PC. A significant part of the users did not have a computer and asked us to run the game on Android. The mobile gaming market is currently the most massive: therefore, the choice for mass adoption is obvious.

Besides, we can look at the stats and realize that these days mobile gaming occupies more than half of the market”.

5. Your project already had 2 games: these are “Crypto Dragons” and “Merge Cats”, they had a $SOUL token. Question — Is it converted to LIS? Will this token unite all the games made by Realis?

“SOUL is the ERC-20 token that we used in our games. Over time, it became obvious that our model won’t work if we will continue to utilize the Ethereum blockchain, since it is associated with high transaction costs. Plus, we have changed the model, the economy and added an NFT to all of this. We exchange $SOUL to $LIS as 25 to 1.

$LIS is a universal token that will be used in all of our games”.

6. Your previous games — “Crypto Dragons” and “Merge Cats”, have similar gameplay and are very different from “Legends Of Listeria”. How did you come with an idea of the new game and what elements were taken considering your experience?

“Cats” and “Dragons” lack challenge, competition, and social interaction. MOBA mechanics completely close these needs of the Realis community.

“We decided to take the core gameplay from Brawl Stars, due to their relatively low entry threshold for the player, and add our improvements to match the expectance of our audience. Plus we plan to add blockchain economy”.

7. With what traditional games can “Legends of Listeria” be compared?

“Brawl Stars or any other MOBA game. The main emphasis is on PVP mode”.

8. What unique mechanics do you use in the game?

“99% of all mechanics are reinventions of what already exists since it is very difficult to create something truly unique. We did not set ourselves such a task: our goal is that the player would enjoy the gameplay. Even the blockchain economy itself is an addition to this principle — because if you won’t like the game, you also won’t like its mechanics.

The most interesting thing is that with our approach to development and usage of the code for our microservices, we can develop one new game every half of a year — thus we can say that it is only difficult to run your first game and to find the correct architecture”.

9. You have a $LIS token, so how a user can get it? Are there giveaways, contests, or something like that?

Let us discuss the most common ways to get it:

- Take the top in the leaderboard and win battles — that is for “Legends of Listeria”

How do you receive them in the “Cats” and “Dragons”:

- chests;

- daily quests;

- jackpots;

- getting into the leaderboard;

- spins;

- achievements;

- in-game purchases;

We can give a small number for free to everyone, but the more players we will have, the less $LIS will come out for each person. We have a calculated economic model to which we adhere, so we can be sure that $LIS won’t lose its value.

Now we are focused more on larger wins for the best players in “Legends of Listeria”. This year you will witness an interesting system based on the rating (similar to “DotA” or to “League of Legends”.

In our social networks, we also hold competitions, so this is another opportunity for users to get $LIS”.

10. How can a user use the $LIS token?

“From the blockchain side:

- staking;

- governance.

From the game side:

- Marketplace;

- Lootboxes;

- Battle pass;

- Heroes mint;

- Levelling up the heroes.

From the game side, we almost have no differences from traditional games. Only the marketplace is not often seen in them, but we must have one if we are talking about NFT’s.

Game features will be constantly added as the game is being developed”.

11. Will you use the $LIS token in all your games in order to create an ecosystem?

“Yes, we will. Here we can follow a Steam example — Valve needed to first create a bunch of their successful games before coming to something way bigger”.

12. When will we know the $LIS listing date? And why did you postpone it?

“Unfortunately, we cannot discuss the details of the listing due to an NDA. I can only say that we are working hard on this to deliver it as fast as we can”.

13. How does the process of earning look like in “Legends of Listeria”?

“The first play-2-earn cycle in “Legends of Listeria” will be launched before the end of this year. Users will need to play matches, win and climb the tournament ladder. The higher the position, the greater the $LIS tokens reward”.

14. Finally, can we talk a bit about the “Legends of Listeria” roadmap? What are you planning to add and to improve?

“Oh, there is so much to add! Here is what we plan to introduce till the end of the year:

- Profile of a player with customization possibilities: changing a nickname and a profile icon;

- Improvements in gaming experience: illumination of opponents when hitting, shown damage numbers;

- Update fonts and fix related errors;

- Bug fixing, gameplay optimization, and reworking heroes balance;

- Adding the ability of heroes to attack while moving;

- Visual and gameplay map update;

- Lootboxes with heroes, equipment, and hero experience;

- Equipment items with additional hero stats;

- Two new heroes;

- Heroes Experience Points;

- Heroes level-up system;

- Trophies path for a player, where at key points he will receive lootboxes;

- Matchmaking optimization”.

This was the end of the original Moni Talks AMA, but we will also add the three most interesting community questions, that Sergey answered:

Community question 1: How the project will earn apart from investors’ help?

“On commissions that will be generated inside the game + in-game purchases”.

Community question 2: When we will see Realis games released on IOS?

“Well, surely not in the nearest months, but we have a positive trend of adding crypto apps to the App Store, so we are promising to dive into this question as soon as we will see the possibilities”.

Community question 3: What is are the differences between Realis blockchain and existing ones?

“High commissions, the flexibility of Substrate solutions and the level of substrate pallet security”.

That is it! As you see, the questions that were discussed were extremely interesting, thus we hope that the English-speaking part of our community will find it interesting enough! Subscribe to our social media not to miss any Realis-related important updates!
