RCNN: Reality Cards NFT News 08/23/21
Overview
Reality Cards doesn’t want to stop at only being the best NFT-based prediction market. We want to be a canonical source for all things NFT. Every Monday a new publication of RCNN (Reality Cards NFT News) will be available to consume. These publications will be full of current news from various NFT-based projects that show up on our radar.
For the week of August 23rd, 2021, RCNN will be presenting on Zapper.Fi and their NFT season, keeping an eye out for CryptoHoots, Staking with Eulerbeats, discovering the unstable horses yard, and reading through the Beacon Book.
Zapper.Fi
Zapper.Fi aims at making the use of DeFi not only easy but fun as well. As a result, they are now starting to gamify the DeFi experience with their Leveling Up update which allows you to gain experience for doing different tasks on zapper and earn special NFT prizes.
By completing daily and weekly Quests you’ll not only be learning more about DeFi, how it works, and how to be in charge of your own crypto-finances — but you’ll be earning experience points which allow you to claim their Season 1 NFTs. This is a way for zapper to reward their most active and loyal community members. Expect to see different types of rewards in the future, like exclusive merchandise, additional NFTs, and potentially more.

CryptoHoots
CryptoHoots is a random generative NFT project that has yet to launch (alpha leak!), but have plans to launch by the end of August per their Discord Server. When launched there will be a limited run of 10,000 Steampunk pixel-art style Owls which will be verifiably random generated NFTs.
Right now CryptoHoots is planning to launch on Ethereum mainnet, but the project-owners are keeping an eye on Arbitrum and Optimism to see if they could provide better user experience if their infrastructure is in place. CryptoHoots will be priced in line with similarly sized projects (think stoner cats, cryptopunks, bored yacht apes, etc.)
With their twitter account already starting to promote unique 1-of-1 NFTs for community participation — It’s a clear indication that they’ll be launching soon, and with the success of previous projects it would be a good idea to keep an eye on this project.
EulerBeats Staking
Imagine music as mathematical art on an NFT substrate. This is EulerBeats. The Euler Record is a limited edition set of algorithmically generated art + music based on the Euler number and the Euler’s totient function. Both the first (Genesis) and second (Enigma) NFT releases has 27 unique tracks. Genesis and Enigma are two sides of the Euler Record.
EulerBeats peaked in notoriety after it was name-dropped by Mark Cuban during a Bankless interview, but has since released Enigma along with a unique feature called EB Staking.
With EB Staking, EulerBeats is extending the connectedness of the Genesis and Enigma releases beyond the existing commonalities in the underlying math, art, and the bonding curve mechanics into the royalty incentives. In this EB Staking release, Treum will share 100% of future print royalties, from the day of EB Staking launch, to the accounts that have staked Genesis — Enigma print pairs. We have capped the maximum number of print pairs that can be staked at 186.
This means that in addition to hodling your EulerBeats print NFTs, you can stake them and earn passive income. With some prints burn price as high as 3.49 ETH it’s a great chance to get in before prices skyrocket.
The Unstable Horses Yard
One of the exciting things about Unstable Horses is that their 10,000 horses are completely unique 1-of-1 derived NFTs from different expressions, hooves, mouth, clothing and more alongside each having randomised physical traits . Although some are rarer than others, Unstable Horses have a revolutionary protocol to generate new (even more rare) Unstable Horses through their breeding center.
The horses are stored as ERC-721 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain and hosted on IPFS. There are horse club benefits which include rewards, farmland opportunities, giveaways, access to our breeding center and more. Each unstable horse costs 0.04 ETH which grants you access to the TUHY DAO, ‘The Yard’ (a members-only space to win rewards), ERC Token airdrop at launch, participation opportunity to own farmland in the metaverse, and the ability to enter their browser based game.
The Unstable Horses Yard project comes from a genuine love of horses, (one of their team members actually takes care of her own horse IRL). Due to this, they want to give back as their project grows to some of the amazing organisations making a difference to horses around the world. The Beacon Book
The Beacon Book began its life in October 2020 as the first project from Stateful Works. While the content and framing has evolved over the past 6 months, the core vision has remained the same: to craft a crypto-native artifact that captures the humanity of the people building the future of Ethereum.
It contains the hopes, fears, and anticipations of the Eth2 researchers and client implementers directly responsible for bringing the Beacon Chain to life on December 1, 2020. The future of the Beacon Chain is the future of Ethereum, and we’re proud to tell part of its story this far.
In addition to being a great snapshot of the Ethereum ecosystem, The Beacon Book is unique in that the book features 7 full-spread illustrations, which can be minted as additional NFTs of varying exclusivity.
