The IMC Lab is an award-winning mixed reality incubator/media arts lab in NYC. With coders, artists + scientists all over the world, we develop new tools + art with social impact, empowering creativity, STEAM education & improved health.

We make virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR)+ mixed reality (XR) apps, immersive environments, A.I. + cloud software used by governments, Universities, hospitals, United Nations, Teach for America, Sony, NBC + more.

In collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Dr. Omer Aras + partner Magic Leap, IMC is developing COVID-vis: AR/VR/XR software for holographic medical imaging of COVID-19 +cancer, giving doctors, medical students +patients with invaluable spatial insights into CT + MRI scans.

The Obama White House invited IMC to be a founding member of Nation of Makers: a national trade org + 50-state network of maker spaces that spurs cross-disciplinary U.S. innovation in tech, arts + STEAM education.

IMC work has been in Rolling Stone, Wired, LA Times, NY Times, CNN + Discovery, as well as museums, Times Square, Google + Instagram offices, Live Nation concerts, movie theaters, NBA + MLB stadiums across the U.S., billboards on 7 continents, as well as mobiles + wearables in >100 countries.

In support of interdisciplinary R&D, tech + art with social impact, our renowned CO-CREATE residency pairs artists + coders, showing innovations in interactive exhibits featuring Christo, Maya Lin, Richard Prince, Ben Fry, Aaron Koblin, Clay Shirky, Hank Shockley (Public Enemy) + many more.
