About the organizer — Knowledge Management Singapore (KMS)
Knowledge Management Singapore (KMS) is a non-profit organization setup to lead and serve knowledge management (KM) professionals in Singapore, through the provision of access to KM resources. These include academic and practitioner expertise, via face-to-face and online discussions, seminars, workshops and conferences. Members are granted free or discounted access to such events.
The Society exists to promote knowledge management among organizations which seek to become more knowledge ready, in order to be more future ready. The support to member organizations will include knowledge management benchmarking, training and education and the promotion of knowledge communities and networks within Singapore and globally.
Singapore remains one of the most technologically-advanced nations in the world. It has leveraged on information and communication technologies, such as improving connectivity through the Next Generation Broadband network. This is a part of its nation building efforts to boost economic competitiveness and improve the quality of lives of citizens, businesses and even countries whom it has strong trade ties. With the emergence of the 4th Digital Revolution.
Singapore’s metamorphosis journey will see it investing heavily in digital economies and new technologies such as artificial intelligence, supporting businesses through e-payments educating citizens on use of new technologies and so on as part of its Smart Nation initiative. Singapore is also the chair of ASEAN 2018, and it aims to reap the economic benefits of the digital wave and to boost ASEAN member nations economic competitiveness and global standing.
