How to benefit from the deep liquidity of the RealToken ecosystem?

Traditional real estate has historically been characterized by a lack of liquidity, involving extensive and complex procedures for the acquisition or sale of properties. Buying and selling properties takes a long time and involves complicated steps like changing ownership, signing papers, tax payments, middlemen payments, and regulatory compliance.

After explaining How to change Fiat currencies to Real Estate tokens in our last article, we now explain how you can benefit from RealToken’s deep liquidity.

Through tokenization, RealT gives previously illiquid markets unprecedented liquidity by fractionalizing property ownership and through our DeFi protocols, the YAM, and the RMM.

The YAM Platform, a peer-to-peer exchange, empowers users to create sales offerings of their RealTokens, with the flexibility to set their preferred prices. Through smart contracts, securing transparent and reliable transactions. Since the YAM creation, it has accumulated a trading value exceeding $4.5M, involving over +37K up to November 2023.

How to resell your tokens?

Here are two ways:

1. On the YAM platform, you can link your wallet, set your desired language, and display preferences to initiate your experience. Afterward, you have the option to browse through the various RealT property listings, utilizing filters and sorting functionalities based on your preferences. You can generate your offers by accessing the “Your Offers” section and providing transaction details.

Beyond the conventional buying and selling of RealTokens, the platform also facilitates token exchanges for its users. Expanding the pool of potential buyers enhances the liquidity of these assets, which benefits both sellers and investors. The sellers get more value from the underlying asset because of the “liquidity premium” they get from the tokens.

How to resell your tokens in the YAM:

  1. Link your wallet, then go to “your offers” then, click on “add new offers”.
  2. Choose the property you want to resell and choose the token you want to receive in return (for example: USDC)
  3. Choose the amount you want to receive for your RealToken
  4. Choose the amount of RealTokens you want to resell
  5. Click on “Create offers”
  6. Validate the transaction on your wallet
  7. Wait for people to buy and receive your USDC in return
  8. Bridge your USDC from Gnosis Chain to Polygon network using Connext
  9. Send your USDC from Polygon to Binance or any other exchange of your choice
  10. From the exchange, send back to FIAT.

Another option: If you have an Ascendex account, send directly the USDC from Gnosis Chain to Ascendex — and then from Ascendex to your FIAT currency.

You can also sell your RealTokens on RealT’s website directly from your wallet (Up to $2000 USD of value per 7 days).

2. Using the ‘Sell Tokens’ button found on the homepage, you can generate a sale request, with the instructions that follow. Most token sales through RealT’s website take 10 working days to process and have a 3% processing fee. The RealTokens are sold for the fair-market-value of the property, as determined by the most recent property appraisal.

  1. Go to https://realt.co/sell-orders/ and select the property token you want to sell
  2. Select the amount of RealTokens you want to sell
  3. Receive USDC (In up to 10 working days) directly in your wallet
  4. Bridge your USDC from Gnosis Chain to Polygon network using Connext
  5. Send your USDC from Polygon to Binance or any other exchange of your choice
  6. From the exchange, send back to FIAT.

Another option: If you have an Ascendex account, send directly the USDC from Gnosis Chain to Ascendex and then Ascendex to fiat currency.

RealToken holders can also collateralize their assets on the RealT Market Maker (RMM) which allows investors to borrow xDai up to 50% of the RealTokens value.

The possibility to borrow stablecoins on the RMM allows people to get liquidity without the need to sell their RealTokens, and it permits them to continue to benefit from the weekly income generated by the rents. The RMM borrowing yield fluctuates over time, so you need to take in consideration your “health factor”.

  1. Connect your wallet to the RMM
  2. Under the “Markets” tab, choose the RealToken of the property you want to collateralize and choose the number of tokens.
  3. Validate your transaction on your wallet
  4. Go to “Dashboard” and click on “Your borrows”. For example, if you deposit 2 tokens of $100, you will be able to borrow up to $50 USD in value (in xDai)
  5. Receive $50 in xDAI directly in your wallet
  6. Use CoW swap or Honeyswap to swap to xDai to USDC
  7. Bridge your USDC from Gnosis Chain to Polygon network using Connext
  8. Send your USDC from Polygon to Binance or any other exchange of your choice
  9. From the exchange, send back to FIAT.

Another option: If you have an Ascendex account, send directly the xDai from Gnosis Chain to Ascendex and then Ascendex to fiat currency.
