The Honourable Chief Minister believes that the youth will sustain growth and development of the state of Punjab.

Activating 21st Century Skills

In Phase I, Pride of Punjab will aim to activate 21st Century Skills in Punjab’s youth and adolescents to simultaneously build civic engagement between them and their communities, local government representatives and businesses through a citizen participation & leadership platform.

Reap Benefit is the lead implementer in this initiative, along with state partner RoundGlass Foundation, will work with the youth YuWaah Ninjas to identify issues that resonate with them. Digital tools and intense mentoring will help upskill youngsters and open their eyes to the leadership role they can play in their communities.

“At Reap Benefit we believe young people have the energy, passion and desire to be champions of change in their communities. In the Punjab Government, we have found a partner who understands the essential need to activate 21st Century skills among youth and adolescents.” says Reap Benefit co-founder Kuldeep Dantewadia.

State Partner RoundGlass Foundation’s efforts span across 13 districts of Punjab to engage youth and adolescents. They will work closely with Reap Benefit and Government of Punjab to identify young YuWaah Ninjas across 700+ villages. Tarundeep Singh Ghuman, Executive Director, teamFATEH, movement, has been brought on board as Project Manager and incubatee, to drive and sustain the vision of youth as local changemakers.

In Phase 1, YuWaah Ninjas can accept and accomplish base level action challenges to show interest. As they take consistent actions to show commitment towards a cause of their choice, deeper engagement to become Champion YuWaah Ninjas is presented. They will be upskilled in 21st Century Skills while executing hands-on projects in real life. Among these youth, further actions and focussed large scale efforts will see them emerge as Yoddha YuWaah Ninjas.

Each small action can lead to measurable and meaningful impact. The Pride of Punjab programme aims to draw more champions towards the power of the small that will spark a youth led movement across the state.
