“Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

— Barack Obama

Our Solve Ninjas from GHS Bagadgeri have set an example by being the agents of change in their village. Observing broken roads in the village, the young Solve Ninjas did a data collection on the impacts of livelihood and health of people living nearby. They then presented this data to the Panchayat head of their village.

These young Ninjas got motivated by the recent cleanathon at their school and decided to solve problems in their community now.

What did they do?

Solve Ninjas identified problems related to water and sanitation in their school where major areas of worry were:

  • Broken handwash and blocked urinals in Girls toilet
  • Broken Handwash in Boys toilet
  • Dirty overhead tank
  • Water was getting stagnated near to the disposal of handwash area.

Solve Ninjas came together and ideated on the solutions through the tools of rapid prototyping; then build it from scratch using locally available materials.
