[Tech]Enhancing security by using quantum random numbers

ReapChain uses quantum random numbers in selecting a coordinator of standing committee and steering committee nodes among the steering committee candidate nodes to make fair decision. Alpha particle emitted by radioactive isotopes based quantum physics law applied QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generators) is used in ReapChain. Because the generator creates random numbers in an unpredictable way, selected 15 operating committee nodes are safe from 51% external attacks.

Even though Q-manager provides a candidate node group for the Steering Committee candidate node using quantum random numbers, the Q-manager does not know which node will be selected as an actual steering committee node. The decision for selecting the actual steering committee node is done on the blockchain network by a race among steering committee candidate nodes.
