REAP Wallet (ver. App) User Guide

In this post, REAP Wallet App(ver. Beta) has been released in earnest.
We will introduce the REAP Wallet App (ver. Beta).
Reap Wallet is an Ethereum-based REAP token wallet and can be used by adding an existing Ethereum-based wallet.
A unique feature of REAP Wallet is that it is a mobile app type cold wallet.
Unlike other web wallets, since there is direct communication with the blockchain network, there is no risk of the server being attacked and the private key exposed or hacked!
In order to use ReapChain more conveniently, let’s take a look at the details of how to use from downloading REAP Wallet App.
- Download REAP Wallet
Download the REAP Wallet App for your smartphone OS.
2. Create REAP Wallet — “Create a new wallet”
Launch the downloaded REAP Wallet app, and complete the wallet generation step.
STEP 1. Click the “Create new wallet” button.
STEP 2. Enter the password to use.
STEP 3. Enter the PIN number to be used for secondary security.
STEP 4. On the main screen, check the wallet address and the quantity you have.
☆ For security matter, Reap Wallet does not store the private key directly inside the app, but encrypts and stores it in the form of a key-store.
2. Create REAP Wallet — “Import Wallet”
Run the downloaded REAP Wallet to complete the wallet creation step.
STEP 1. Click the “Import Wallet” button.
STEP 2. Add your wallet by uploading your private key and your password or key-store.
STEP 3. Enter the PIN number to be used for secondary security.
STEP 4. On the main screen, check the wallet address and the amount of possession.
☆ REAP Wallet stores the private key imported from outside by encrypting it with the user password when creating the wallet.
3. Explore REAP Wallet
- Main Screen
When you finish creating your wallet, you will be taken to the main screen.
On the main screen, you can check the address of your wallet and the amount of tokens you have, such as ETH or REAP.
- QR code
You can see the QR code of your wallet on the main screen.
You can copy and paste my wallet address by clicking the “Copy Address” button, and click “Save QR” to save the QR code photo.
You can check the transmission history by clicking “View History” to access EtherScan.
- Designate a representative wallet
If you designate the wallet as your representative wallet, it will be marked with a colored belt at the top of the wallet and will be moved to the first wallet.
You can manage multiple wallets and designate representative wallets to make them easier to use, so you can check them immediately when you run the wallet.
- Modify Alias
Set an alias for the wallet.
Multiple wallets can be easily distinguished by alias.
- Wallet Backup
Back up the key-store file (.json) of the wallet.
※ This is an important file required to recover the wallet when the device is lost or the wallet app is deleted. After backup, please keep it in a place that only you can know.
- Delete Wallet
Delete this wallet.
※ Before deleting the wallet, check whether there are any cryptocurrencies you have before proceeding with the deletion.
The cryptocurrency of the deleted wallet is not recovered.
- Create new wallet & import wallet
This is the same as the wallet creation process above.
- Add Token
STEP 1. Enter the token contract address.
If you enter the token contract address, the token information is automatically entered.
STEP 2. Check the token information and click the “Add” button.
STEP 3. Confirm the token added to the main screen.
- Withdraw
STEP 1. Click the “Right Arrow” button in ETH or Token Wallet.
STEP 2. Enter the quantity to send and the address of the other’s wallet or scan the QR code.
STEP 3. Check if the information to be transferred is correct and click “Transfer”.
STEP 4. Complete the transfer by entering the PIN number that is the second security authentication.
REAP Wallet’s unique strengths

1. You can manage multiple wallets at once by adding wallets and tokens.
2. You can check the balance of multiple wallets and tokens at a glance by sliding multiple wallets from side to side.
3. The user can manage multiple wallets and easily designate a representative wallet and modify a separate wallet so that they can be checked immediately when the wallet is executed, and multiple wallets can be identified by nicknames.
4. You can receive a deposit quickly by showing the QR code directly on the main screen.
- Differentiated Security of Crypto Wallet
1. We do not store the private key inside the app, and the key imported from the outside and the private key generated when creating the wallet are encrypted and stored with the user password.
2. All transmitted transactions are encrypted with a private key and transmitted to the blockchain, so transaction forgery is almost impossible, and private key information is not exposed to the network.
3. Since it is a cold wallet in the form of a mobile app, it communicates directly with a blockchain network without a backEnd server, unlike a web-type wallet, so there is no risk of a private key exposure caused by the server being attacked.
4. Because the private key is not stored inside the app, even if the device is lost or exposed, it is impossible to steal the private key of the corresponding wallet because only the encrypted key-store file exists.
