Daylight fills more hours than darkness does.
It is time to get outside.
I love spring because it brings people out of winter hibernation, especially in areas of the world that are cold and snowy. Yes, there are wonderful activities for those who like ice and snow, but spring is life-giving.
Here in my little piece of the universe, spring breathes life back into the First Friday Event downtown and draws people to the various farmer’s markets. When I first moved to Southern Middle Tennessee, I realized that there were two seasons: winter season and festival season. There isn’t a weekend where you can’t find some type of festival within a 50 mile radius: Daffodil Day, GuitarFest, Tulip Fest, Cherry Blossom Festival, Mule Day Festival, Cornbread and Moonshine Festival, and so many more.
