Ole Miss swats Auburn out of Tournament

The Red & Blue crush is back!

Ole Miss pitched a shut out of Auburn and returned to home run form in a 7–0 domination of the Tigers on Friday night.

Now it’s time to face Texas A&M in a semifinal.

The display of firepower was impressive.

Thomas Dillard hit his 13th home run.

Jacob Adams followed suit.

And the Chase Cockrell sent his to the parking lot.

The Rebels totaled 10 hits.

They are red hot and hot at the perfect time. Tournament time. With the kitchen sink pitching philosophy that will be employed against A&M today, it’s likely Ole Miss will need a lot of offense. Hopefully those bats stay hot.

One thing we know for almost sure — a national seed is coming to Oxford.

Georgia and Auburn had strong RPI’s. Ole Miss dismantled them, owns a Top 5 ranking and 44 wins. The seed should be locked up. Now it’s time to win an SEC Championship.

The way the bats were swinging on Friday, I think it could happen.
