At Yuser, we’re committed to delivering high-quality experiences to our amazing community of creators and collectors. As we pointed out in our last blog post, we did not achieve this with the launch of NextGems. In response, we’ve thoroughly reviewed and revised our sales and minting process to make sure that the sale will continue smoothly.

Here’s a recap to date of the NextGems project:
- 1,000 NextGems issued to Yuser App members in a giveaway
- 791 NextGems sold on October 12
- 8,209 NextGems are available to be minted on November 9
- Almost 1,500 people whitelisted to mint on November 9
- NextGems price: 0.5 MOVR
- NextGems features: verified gold ring around the avatar in Yuser [launched], gemstone hodling rewards [coming soon], advertising boost [coming soon], SVG assets [coming soon]
- And, of course, values indicating the rarity of each attribute
Overview of the changes made to the minting process can be found below.
Based on community feedback we’ve decided to:
- Change the amount of NextGems that can be bought per transaction from 10 to 5
- Make it possible to buy NextGemswith both WMOVR [like before] or MOVR
- The time for the sale going live has been revised from 12 pm EST to 9 am EST to better accommodate Yuser community members in different time zones. Revised schedule is as follows:
Whitelist 1 minting will open at 2 pm UTC / 9 am EST
Whitelist 2 minting will open at 3 pm UTC / 10 am EST
*Public* minting will open at 4 pm UTC / 11 am EST
Step by Step Sale Process
Sign Up to Yuser
To participate in the NexGems sale you must be a registered Yuser app member. Right now, the only way to get a Yuser account is to set it up on your mobile phone.
You have to go through our Discord and click on the #yuser-invite-drop channel (unless you have a friend who can invite you directly). From there you follow the invite link to set up your account (on mobile).
If you have any issues with this process then make sure to read the description of the invite process in that channel to troubleshoot your issue.
Log In to the Yuser Web App
Once you have a Yuser account you can go to yuser.co and log in to the Yuser Web App with your Yuser account info. Then on the left hand side you can click on the “NextGems Launch” banner. This will take you to the NextGems sale interface.

NextGems Sale Process
Make sure you’re on the Moonriver network. If you’re not, then you will be prompted to switch to Moonriver from within your Wallet screen.
You need to make sure that you’ve connected the right wallet that has been whitelisted. In your wallet screen you will see the notification with the wallet address that has been added either to the whitelist 1 or the whitelist 2.
If you’re not on the whitelist you will be able to mint with a two hour delay (after whitelists 1&2) if there are any NextGems left.
Additionally, you will need MOVR/WMOVR tokens. If you don’t have them you can read our guide on how to get MOVR.
In the NextGems Sale screen select the amount that you want to mint — between 1 and 5 per transaction.
From the drop-down menu you can select either MOVR or WMOVR tokens.
When you click “buy” you will be prompted to confirm the transaction in your Metamask.
After you confirm, the transaction will display as “pending.”
When the transaction is successful the message will change to “transaction successful.”
In the popup window we also display the transaction hash. Make sure to copy that hash in case there is any doubt weather your transaction was or wasn’t successful. You can paste this transaction hash in Blockscout and check the status of your transaction.
If your transaction displays as “fail:” first double-check that it has really failed by following the process above. If you get the confirmation from Blockscout that the transaction failed, you can try to repeat the purchasing process. If you need any further assistance make sure to go to our Discord to get help.
If your transaction displays as “pending:” if your transaction appears stuck in the Metamask and it’s displayed as “pending” for an excessive period of time then you will need to get your Metamask Wallet reset by using Advanced Settings.
In Metamask; click on the avatar — click settings — click advanced settings — click reset account. This should reset your wallet so it’s no longer stuck.
If your transaction displays as “success:” click on “See Your NextGems.” That will take you into the Wallet screen where you can see your “Unminted NextGems.”
Part of the revised sale process that we designed for NextGems was splitting the sale portion and the minting/reveal.
Instead of attempting the entire process at once we decided that it would be safer and more effective to stagger it.
Revised Sales / Minting Process
When you buy NextGems Avatars your tokens are locked in a smart contract that essentially secures your “claim” to an avatar. On our end, we begin minting NextGems into the wallets of those who purchased one of the NextGems. When we fulfill the “promise” of the smart contract and transfer you the NextGems you’ve purchased, the tokens get transferred to our Yuser Marketplace wallet.
This means that the NextGems will not be revealed upon the sale. They will be minted gradually into everyone’s wallets in the order of purchase.
This was the most reliable way that we could envision to distribute the NextGems to the community. When the NextGems are minted you will immediately have access to this screen:
You will be able to use NextGems Avatar as your profile picture and get a gold ring status around your Avatar. You will be able to access a full SVG pack of layers that will make it easier to modify your avatar if you want to use it to create derivatives or merchandise. You will also have access to accurate rarity values [after all of them have been minted].
