On the “Crisis of Philosophy” — With a Twist …

Every now and again you read something that stops you in your tracks. Like an intellectual cold shower. I’ve just been reading an article in which the author makes a series of claims about academic philosophy that sounded loud bells of recognition in my head.

The author (whose identity will come later) claims that academic philosophy has largely lost touch with wider socioeconomic reality. It is alien to the concerns of most non-academic human beings.
