For the past 9 years, 6 months, and 10 days, Armin has been an integral part of the rebuy community. He plays a crucial role in developing the iOS app and supporting his team members with technical expertise. His responsibilities also include planning the next steps to keep rebuy at the forefront of the tech industry.

One of the notable aspects at rebuy is “Friday is Try-day,” a concept that has gained popularity among our tech enthusiasts. Armin enthusiastically shared his experiences on these special days. He mentioned dedicating time to reading “The Manager’s Path,” a book suggested by our Head of Engineering — Web and Apps, Ota Mares. This opportunity for personal growth and learning is highly valued at rebuy. Additionally, he worked on an exciting project, the Design System Storybook for iOS, which visually represents future design components.

When asked what he enjoyed most about Try-day, Armin emphasized the freedom it provides. He has the autonomy to choose between focusing on personal development or tackling unique challenges that may not fit within the regular sprint schedule. This flexibility allows him to explore new horizons and contribute to rebuy’s continuous growth.

Reflecting on his decision to join Rebuy and the tech team, Armin shared a fascinating journey. A decade ago, he was a user of rebuy’s services and noticed room for improvement in the app. During their interview, he presented his vision for enhancing the user experience. While remote work is prevalent, Armin occasionally works from the office. He finds the office environment invigorating, allowing him to meet and socialize with his teammates. The sense of camaraderie and collaboration fosters a strong bond within the team.

In terms of technologies and programming languages, Armin revealed that Swift for iOS development and Kotlin for Android are commonly used within the team. However, he highlighted that the tech team constantly explores emerging trends and tools.
