We have the chance to sit down with Jakub who volunteered to share more about his time with rebuy. Jakub is our trusty Project Manager in Poznań, he has been with us for the last 5 years!

Jakub is responsible for leading project teams through changes in order to achieve project goals, keeping budget, scope and time in an optimal relation. He manages projects with an end-to-end approach, starting with the concept phase, preparation, execution and closure. He runs all types of projects, mostly around the implementation of new operational processes by shifting them from our German facilities

We asked Jakub the same questions we shared with Mateusz last week and this is what we gathered from this insightful interview:

What attracted you to rebuy? Why did you decide to join the company?

To be honest I was just looking for a job and rebuy was recommended to me by my friends. I really liked the fact that a few of my friends work there. I was attracted to rebuy by it’s maturity level. I knew that it was only a 1-year-old company which was rapidly growing. I took it as a challenge to develop personally and professionally within rebuy.

What is your favourite thing about the colleagues at rebuy?

I love the fact that most of us come from internal recruitment processes. Most of us started from the bottom, at operations. By our extraordinary engagement and prior experience, we are specialists, managers and directors now. It gives remarkable team spirit and makes our work highly efficient, without a stiff atmosphere.

Do you believe the work you are doing is creating a positive impact? If so, how and what are you working on?

For sure it creates a positive impact. We are the solution to the modern dilemma of having quality consumer electronics which is CO2 footprint neutral.

What exciting things have you and your team been getting up to lately?

At rebuy we highly focus on reducing the CO2 footprint made by our business and eliminating process waste in order to use our resources as wisely as it’s possible. Together with the rebuy Poland team, we are preparing for a new huge project after moving to a new Facility. Our main goals are to cut costs, improve our service level and make our CO2 footprint even lower. This project is going to be a hub for all sub-projects focused on those main KPIs.

Do you share the same values around sustainability as rebuy or do you believe you could invest more interest into the sustainable lifestyle?

I do personally share the same values. It’s important for me to use our resources in a wise way so we can make global warming slower and just live better. There is no second Earth.

What advice would you give to someone looking to join rebuy?

If you are looking for a job with high development potential, then don’t hesitate, just apply to rebuy!

We generally ask our colleagues similar questions because not only does it help us understand if there is a general consensus, but it’s always interesting exploring the differences our employees experience at rebuy.

It’s important to also highlight that not every colleague we hire starts off sharing the same values as rebuy, nor did they always specifically choose rebuy as an employer because of our mission, and that’s okay! What matters to us is that we have made an impact on these kinds of colleagues and the proof is in the pudding when we see our loyal colleagues share how much they have grown in their careers. A big thank you to Jakub for his time in sharing these great insights!
