The Northern Lights are more than just the colours, lights, and shapes that fill the sky; they elicit various emotions and create memories. Witnessing this wonderful natural element fills you with awe and amazement. It reminds you of the magnificent beauty of nature.
Facts about Northern lights
- The Northern Lights are called "Aurora Borealis" after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek word "boreas," meaning "north wind," due to their occurrence primarily in the northern hemisphere.
- The term "aurora" refers to the dawn-like glow often observed during the display, while "borealis" signifies its northern location.
- Earth isn’t the only planet with auroras. It can be also be seen at Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Uranus and Neptune.
- Auroras constantly change shape
