Since ancient times we humans have always loved the moon. Moon the only natural satellite of the earth. It makes everything better.

It's calm to look at the moon.

There is something relaxing about the full moon, and many cultures even do certain rituals according to the different phases of the moon.

Moon in Hinduism

In Hindu Pantheon Moon is also known as Soma since it is beautiful and almost intoxicating.

In Vedic astrology, the moon is considered one of the most feminine planets.

An afflicted moon in a birth chart can cause anxiety, depression and other mental health problems, as the moon is our emotions, mother, and childhood. It is responsible for some of the soft spots in people's lives.

Moon also represents the food we eat or the water we drink. This is the one reason to have a healthy mind; we must be careful about what food we consume daily.

The quality of the food also affects the quality of our thoughts and mood.

Monday represents the moon day. Full moon and New Moon, which occur every two weeks, are also significant for the moon.

The moon has endless Desires. It wants all the beautiful things in the world—the best to eat, the best to wear, and the most beautiful people to be with.

Although, it's fun enjoying the finer things in life. Ultimately endless desires are bound to lead us to infinite suffering.

One can never know the joy and fulfilment of contentment if the desire and craving to have more are constantly there.

If there is a desire for more, there is also an aversion for the opposite.

So, To come out of this never-ending maze of suffering and desire. Seeking balance in life and limiting our desires is essential.

Meditation is one of the tools we can use to bring clarity to our moon and minds.

It helps us surf through the waves of our own mental emotions. It gives us a sense of direction and navigates through deep dark waters.

It gives the moon a tool to escape the desire it's wrapped in.

One can meditate under the moon to feel its calming effects on the mind. The mind has similar nature to the moon.

Hence, the moon symbolizes the mind as well. The reason is constantly changing, transforming and never still. Similar to the moon.

To improve the moon in our birth chart, which is our mind, we must be mindful of what we do.

This includes the quality of our food, thoughts and actions. Only then can we be able to lead a healthy and happy life.
