Illness Increased My Appreciation for Medium
It’s all about community, folks!
Last year, I was hospitalized for the first time in my more than 65 years. Hospitals and illnesses are scary anytime but more so during a pandemic. I spent the worst 23 hours of my life in the emergency room waiting to be assigned a hospital bed, while surrounded by people who may or may not have been infected with Covid.
