Mysterious Noises in My Condo
A Tale of the Phantom Neighbors
Living in an 8-floor condominium has its perks, but it also comes with its fair share of quirks. For the past three months, I’ve been experiencing a peculiar nightly phenomenon that’s both baffling and a bit unsettling.
Each evening, on the floor above my unit (the 5th floor), strange sounds emanate through the ceiling. It all begins with the unmistakable noise of furniture being dragged and shuffled.
But the enigma doesn’t end there. Following this peculiar commotion, a relentless, rhythmic tap-tap-tap echoes down, resembling the distinct cadence of someone wearing high heels. To say it’s perplexing would be an understatement.
As I inquired about this peculiar occurrence, it turned out I wasn’t the only one who had noticed these odd sounds. The security guards at our condo had heard similar tales from other residents.
The intriguing part, however, is that nobody resides in the unit on the 5th floor, at least according to the records. And yet, these mysterious noises persist.
