For the last some days I was suffering from a cold. I wasn’t able to write more so I thought of spending my time reading stories of new writers on Medium.

Today in the early morning, I was reading a post written by Martin von Mars

His post reminded me of the initial days of my writing journey on Medium. Every time I was opening Medium in the hope that someone have read my work and disappointed myself when no one have read my work. I know that heartbreaking feeling. Every writer wants to get his/her work read. We all want an audience.

Not just this one article, recently I have read so many articles from new writers who are working hard to get 100 followers and looking forward to receiving each other’s support.

When I joined Medium, almost 3 to 4 months, no one read my work. If you want to get your profile recommended by Medium to other readers, you need to have enough amount of content on your profile. As a new writer, it was hard for me to publish more than 4 pieces in a week.

Moreover, if you are a stable writer here on Medium then also many of us required genuine readers who continuously read our work. If you are the author who gets your viral stories on Medium, it will grow your views and earnings. However, it will be hard to write viral articles every day.

Whether you are just a beginner or a famous writer like Tim Denning, it’s next to impossible to write viral articles on regular basis. All the writers who are successful on Medium have long and genuine lists of following. Their readers read their work whenever they publish the hit button. Sometimes, all of these things make Medium a confusing place to be successful.

You all wonder what is the secret mantra of getting success on Medium?

I have learned the hard way, that there are no particular guidelines to write viral articles. Sometimes, luck does the 50 percent work for you. However, we all are not lucky. So, does that mean we should stop thinking about being successful on Medium?

No, we all need each other’s back to keep going on.

We need each other’s support. We all waiting for readers when they will come and read our work. Yes or no. A big yes.

Whenever we check our stats, we want that people read, highlight, and comment thoughts on your article. We all are looking for the same thing.

Then why are we trying too hard to get success over here? It’s time to make Medium a place where you can find a genuine community where we can start our writing journey and reach the summit.

I am starting a new adventure on Medium and the goal of this adventure is to create a safe place for all beginner writers.

I am excited to announce this new adventure called Reciprocal on Medium. I am grateful to all the poets because I have a great community of poets at Lifeline. A lifeline is a great place where I found great poets and made a great community of poets.
