Each Friday, Collector will present three disparate but artistically worthwhile digital artifacts from the worlds of music, performance, and art.

Sally Oldfield “Mirrors”

Sally Oldfield’s Water Bearer is one hell of a record. “Mirrors” was the sole single from the record, and it’s a great example of the intriguing mix of folk and prog that filters through the record. Oldfield masterfully handles most of the instrumentation (played from a backing track for the below video). Also, look for the great duet vocalist Brian Burrows. This album is relatively cheap and relatively easy to pick up — check Discogs.

Suburban Lawns “Janitor”

MAN THE MANIPULATOR!

Luc Ferrari

A clip, devoid of information, showing composer Luc Ferrari composing music via field recordings, recording the sound of closing books, and editing on a computer.
