Introducing the Reclamation Ventures 2020 Impact Report, a comprehensive overview of key initiatives transforming the wellness industry.

This report highlights quantitative and qualitative insights from over 500 underestimated wellness entrepreneurs making wellness more accessible for their communities across the U.S. It also offers a quick recap of our work since our launch six months ago.

“Consider this an academically sound, well-referenced middle finger to the industry consistently causing harm against marginalized bodies, and expecting us to do the labor to repair it. Or, more aptly, a raised fist to the radical and necessary work by the leaders propelling this movement forward.

Here, we highlight the powerful work that will redefine our collective right to be well. The individuals and organizations represented are not ‘trendy’. They’re essential. Lifesaving. Needed. They have been here and will continue to be here regardless of how trendy the wellness industry becomes.

And as we strive to create more space for all of us to breathe, these are the leaders we need to be listening and learning from. Because they are truly doing the work –perhaps not to create the next million-dollar wellness fad, but to claim and maintain our inherent right to be well. They deserve investment, representation, and visibility regardless of where the industry grows. And we’re proud to call attention to their work.”

Note that this is just a sliver of all the necessary work happening out here, and doesn’t mean any of these movements are more important than others. As we grow, we’re committed to expanding our definition of wellbeing by continuing to elevate underestimated entrepreneurs in the industry.

Reclamation Ventures is an impact investing fund investing in the development and growth of underestimated entrepreneurs in wellness. We believe that when we elevate the capacity of diverse wellness leaders to thrive, we can start to close the wellness gap and increase health equities in communities that need it most.

We offer ongoing, unrestricted capital in the form of Impact Grants to underestimated entrepreneurs, and are closing our first micro-fund to offer early-stage growth equity to for-profits businesses in 2020. We host conversations in cities across the country on the intersection of wellness and equity. We consult with leading brands to help them increase health equity through their hiring, marketing and social impact initiatives.
