We’re in Southampton
Recommendable has been invited down to Southampton University this week to talk to students and businesses about how to grow their businesses. Southampton, particularly the University, has a thriving entrepreneurial culture with new companies popping up all the time.
The event we’re speaking at is being hosted by Fish on Toast, the student-led entrepreneurship and business society. Fish on Toast has been growing for many years to establish itself as Southampton’s centre for entrepreneurship and startups. Thursday’s event is an example of this since along with Recommendable there are two other awesome startup organisations attending.
Benefex is one of Southampton’s most successful startups, with an incredible Founder, Matt Macri-Waller. Matt started Benefex when he was 23 years old to help companies understand employee engagement, they’re now constantly growing and developing new technology to improve how companies and their employees work together. Matt has been selected as a Business Hero by the times and is a business leader in Southampton.
We’re also joined by Future Worlds; a technology accelerator and incubator for Spinout Startups coming out of Southampton. Future Worlds has experience of growing technology companies, including companies who are building the 5G network, a company revolutionising cycling community and building new medical imaging software. Future Worlds are a great resource, full of knowledge regarding building and growing businesses.
