Reconstruct™, the leader in remote construction progress monitoring in North America, is also the leading solution used by global construction teams across Asia, Europe and Australia.

Despite many new construction technology products on the market, project information remains siloed in different systems. Reconstruct’s Visual Command Center™ is the first and only product that integrates reality capture, designs and schedule, enabling teams to see what is there vs. what should be there.

Reconstruct’s new product, 2D3D RMap™, brings together reality capture, 2D design and 3D models in one integrated platform. Construction and inspection stakeholders are using it to capture status quo, document progress, ensure quality, and visualize conditions from their computers in their “work from home” environments. Construction teams from all over the globe have achieved better schedule management, more efficient tracking of quality and progress, faster inspections and improved documentation. Reconstruct is also available in the Japanese language and is used on complex projects such as railroad station renovations and bridge inspections.

“The best part about Reconstruct is the ability to easily record and track site information. We see this as something that can be used for our maintenance projects and renovations. The data is so powerful. [With the new 2D functionality], I really like how new photos and videos we take can be seen on 2D orthographic photos.”

Iguchi Shigenobu, Deputy Manager Construction Department, East Japan Railway Company (東日本旅客鉄道株式会社), Tokyo, Japan

“Reconstruct helps in the most crucial parts of construction management, including tracking the construction’s quality, timeliness and scheduling. We believe technologies like Reconstruct can help revolutionize the processes of this industry.”

Shinya Sugiura, Corporate Business Innovation & Management Foundation Department, Corporate Strategy Division, Obayashi Corporation (株式会社大林組), Tokyo, Japan

“The good thing about Reconstruct is that it can track the progress of construction through videos and images taken from 360 cameras, not just in the form of photos, but also as a very ideal media of information, which is 3D point clouds. This platform also allows us to easily compare the plan with reality capture data by overlapping them, which is exactly what we’ve always wanted to do. It is difficult to make all phases of our work efficient but Reconstruct leads to more efficient workflows not just within the construction phase, but also when working with other companies that we have contracts with.”

Shiosaka Yasuhiko, iPD Center within Obayashi Corporation (株式会社大林組), Planning Department for Construction Management, Tokyo, Japan

“For the maintenance of our infrastructure, we use drones and other autonomous vehicles to augment our inspection capabilities. Reconstruct helps us since we take a lot of pictures. We had always struggled with organizing images that are collected by drones. We felt that we were not able to fully utilize the strength of using drones for our maintenance and inspection workflows. By using Reconstruct, we can make those data and 3D images show the strength of using drones for maintenance and inspection. We are able to demonstrate the full use of drones to capture and turn those images into 3D models. We are going to drastically change the workflow of our maintenance and inspections by using Reconstruct.”

Hirokuni Morikawa, National Bridge Team Leader, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT 国土交通省), Ibaraki-ken, Japan

“I see Reconstruct as a great, structured way to do photo and video documentation throughout our construction projects. We get a good overview of our construction sites, both in 2D, 3D and with our point clouds. That gives us a [complete] overview of our sites and [better] control on progress of work. We use it a lot in our site planning and the planning of upcoming tasks. It’s also a great tool in communication with our clients and within our own project organization and with our subcontractors. We also can use it as a reference for our safety and quality inspections. We really appreciate the connection between orthophotos, 2D drawings and photos and point clouds and we really like that it’s becoming easier and easier to perform photo and video documentation with different camera types and devices.”

Henrik Ljungberg, Digital Innovation Manager, Skanska, Gothenberg, Sweden

“We are thrilled that our customers across Europe, Australia and Asia are reaping the benefits of Reconstruct. Our project teams that collaborate across continents are using remote progress monitoring to keep their construction, renovation, and inspection projects running smoothly during these difficult times.”

Zak MacRunnels, CEO, Reconstruct, Inc.

About Reconstruct™

Reconstruct™ makes the built world a better place to live, work and play. With offices in Silicon Valley and the Midwest, Reconstruct brings together previously disconnected and siloed systems, enabling project teams to see their projects in one holistic view. This provides construction project stakeholders more efficient workflows in documentation, progress tracking and quality control. Reconstruct was founded in 2016 and is used by industry leaders in North America, Asia, Europe and Australia who experience a 30% reduction in time necessary to report field level progress, and a 50% reduction in site visits necessary by project executives.
