Yours faithfully
Creed of my heart,
I have loved you faithfully,
Let my all clamour of your wonders,
Though I do not claim of their knowledge,
But in faith,
My soul longs to be ingrained in them.
What has come of thee,
That you are found in dire straits?
Do you not know?
Listen…
Your Maker speaks:
“You were made a wonder, woman”
Hush now, I beg of you,
Lest you become weary like a man
And have no one to cheer you on.
I have loved you faithfully,
Therefore like a man,
I take onus of your suffering,
For it is my fair bowl under the sun.
If you pour thy cheerful love in it,
I will carry your burden with mine.
How are you, my love?
Or, need I even ask?
Your eyes tell it all,
Like through a window,
I confess of my impertinence,
Of the many times I have peeped.
What’s in there, I wonder?
It looks like timeless forever,
It smells like sweet nature,
May I dwell inside?
Who am I to inquire?… glad you ask,
I am but a common man,
In search of meaning.
Though there may be plenty to settle for,
My better half, at last, I have found.
For I have loved you faithfully.
Of all dwellings in the universe,
Now my heart has come of age,
To be my judge and my witness,
On the account of this burning desire.
